Position Overview:
CALYX Design Group is seeking an Entry-Level candidate to join our Saint Paul, MN office. This is a full-time salaried position, M-F, 40hrs per week. You will work on various assignments and projects under the direction of an experienced landscape architect or project manager, primarily in the areas of site development, parks and recreation, athletic facilities. and commercial landscape design.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Prepare concepts, construction documents, and 2D/3D graphic illustrations under direct
supervision of a licensed landscape architect or project manager.
• Participate in design meetings.
• Work within a team setting to compile data and prepare design solutions.
• Work collaboratively with related professionals that include civil engineers, architects,
planners, and stakeholders.
• Consult with product manufacturers, evaluate and select construction materials.
• Assist in editing technical specifications.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings.
• Visit construction sites to gather information, review design intent, inform and support senior
project team members during the construction phase.
• Use in-depth knowledge of trees, shrubs, ground covers, perennials, and annuals in preparing
planting plans and landscape master plans.

An ideal candidate has:
• A minimum of an accredited bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Intent to pursue professional licensure.
• Strong communication skills & professionalism
• 1-4 years of professional experience (including summer, co-op, work study, or intern work).
• High proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and the
Microsoft Office Suite.
• Technical knowledge of landscape architectural site development elements.
• Basic Tree and Shrub knowledge, including field identification.
• A desire to grown and learn in the profession.
